BAT STANDARDS:

The Riley Executive Board made a decision to not require the use of new USA Baseball bats for the upcoming Spring 2018 season. However, all new USA bats will be allowed - including new USA stamped big barrels.

We will also utilize the same bat standards that were in place last year; old-style big barrel bats with only the old USSSA stamp will still be illegal for use in Riley Rec League games.

Do keep in mind, your player may be required to use a new USA Baseball approved bat if he plays on an All-Star team or Travel team during the summer months. Check with your coach as tournaments governed by Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken and Little League Baseball may not allow bats that do not meet the new specifications.
