Governor Holcomb Announces Staged Reopen

Riley Recreation League Prepares for Season Start June 15th

UpdatedTuesday May 5, 2020 by Greg Ewing.

With the announcement Friday of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb’s “Back On Track Indiana”, the Riley Recreation League’s Executive Board began planning the reopen of facilities with games beginning as soon as Monday, June 15th provided no additional restrictions are needed.

Following the guidelines set by the Governor in his 5 stages to get Indiana back on track, RRL will be making some changes to meet CDC guidelines in the coming weeks to ensure our facilities are as safe as possible to protect our players, our families and our fans.

We believe that many families will not be venturing far from home during these next few months and we have decided to reopen registration to give those families an opportunity to have their child participate.  Registration is open until May 24th.  Depending on the number of additional players, we may need to adjust and/or redraft teams.

Our spring ball (now summer ball) season will run Monday, June 15th – August 7th and tournament week August 10th – 15th with championship games and League picnic on Saturday, August 15th.

PLEASE NOTE:  All dates are subject to current situation and may be altered to comply with local, state or federal regulations.

Additional information will be forthcoming.
